Coptic Stitch Watercolor Book Binding
Come join Linn as she takes you through the steps to create a lovely watercolor journal bound with Coptic Stitch. Coptic Stitch is a centuries old method that has stood the test of time and is an excellent form of binding for watercolor journals as it allows the pages to all lay flat. The chipboard covers will be decorated with rice papers inside and out and the signatures will be watercolor paper. It’s 6” high by 4 ½” wide pages are a great size for either portrait or landscape painting, and it’s compact size will be easy to transport for a travel journal. Once you learn this binding method, it will be one of your staples. It works well with most any weight paper and cover boards.
This class is offered as a LIVE at the store in person and virtual class Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 central, allowing you to participate and interact if needed as well as ask questions and follow along safely from the comfort of your home. When the video is uploaded after the live session you can return to watch over and over again. You can enjoy the class live or at whatever time suits you as the class will be available on demand.
