|This months tag was all about "Following Your Creative Muse." I have TONS of Halloween themed stamps that have never been used, so for this tag challenge, I thought it was time to get them out and play. I love all of the layers and dimension that Tim Holtz added to his tag this month. Here is my interpretation of what he showed on his August tag this month.|
I love how the Tissue tape resists the Distress Stain and lets the stamped image on top really pop. When you are doing this make sure to stamp your image with Archival Ink, other wise your image will smear. I felt that the skull didn't stand out enough on the tissue tape, so I stamped it again on watercolor paper, colored it in with Distress Markers, cut it out and then popped it on top of the stamped image.
The properties of the new Ranger Texture Paste are pretty cool too. I applied the paste through one of Tim's new stencils and let it dry. Then applied the Distress Stain over the area. The paste sucked up the Distress stain and took the color very nice and the Tissue Tape under the paste resisted the Distress Stain, so the textures image really pops.
